My Journey With Burnout And Self-Compassion

I didn't see it coming, even though all the signs were there. Forgetfulness. Irritability. Tearfulness. Feeling overwhelmed by tasks I had done for years. I kept pushing through because I believed I had to keep going.

Then one day, the muscles in my back seized up.

For six weeks, I was forced to slow down. During that time, I rediscovered meditation and began listening to a quieter, kinder voice within myself. That experience changed my understanding of self-care. I realized it wasn't about doing more or finding the perfect solution. It was about awareness, compassion, and learning to trust what I truly needed. The lessons I learned during that season continue to shape the way I support women today.
